How to Do Nanoplastia at Home — Step by Step

Nanoplastia can be done at home, and thousands of people in Pakistan do it. The process is not complicated, but three things decide your result: sectioning properly, correct flat iron temperature, and not washing for 72 hours afterwards. Get those right and the result is close to salon quality at a fraction of the cost.

What you need before you start

  • The treatment. Start with W One 120 ml at PKR 1,970 for one application if this is your first time. For longer hair or repeat use, the 1000 ml bottle is far better value.
  • Bond protection if your hair is coloured or bleached — the Combo.
  • A flat iron that reaches 200–230°C with a stable temperature. This is not the place for a cheap iron — inconsistent heat gives patchy results.
  • A clarifying shampoo, tail comb, sectioning clips, gloves, application brush and bowl, and a towel you do not mind ruining.
  • Sulfate-free shampoo for afterwards — this set. Do not skip it.

The five mistakes that ruin home treatments

  1. Sections too thick. The iron cannot heat through a thick section evenly, leaving parts untreated. Work in sections about 1 cm thick — thinner than feels necessary.
  2. Applying product to the scalp. Stay 1–2 cm away. Product at the roots causes greasiness and irritation.
  3. Iron too cool. Below about 200°C the treatment does not seal properly and results fade in weeks. Fine or bleached hair should stay nearer 200°C; coarse hair can handle 230°C.
  4. Washing too early. The 72-hour rule is the one people break most, and it undoes the whole treatment. No washing, no tying, no clips, no tucking behind ears.
  5. Using sulfate shampoo afterwards. Strips the treatment within weeks.

Should you do it yourself?

Do it at home if: your hair is healthy or lightly coloured, you are patient enough to work in thin sections for an hour, and you have a decent flat iron.

Get a stylist if: your hair is heavily bleached, you have very long or very thick hair, or you have a wedding coming up — see our bridal timeline before booking anything.

A reasonable middle path is buying the product yourself and having a trusted stylist apply it. You avoid salon product markup while getting professional application.

After the 72 hours

Your first wash should use only sulfate-free shampoo and lukewarm water. From then on, wash 2–3 times a week rather than daily.

Full routine in our aftercare guide — following it is the difference between 3 months and 6 months of results.

Frequently asked questions

Can I do nanoplastia at home?

Yes. The key requirements are working in thin sections, a flat iron reaching 200–230°C, and not washing your hair for 72 hours afterwards. Start with a 120 ml size for your first attempt.

What temperature should the flat iron be for nanoplastia?

Between 200°C and 230°C. Use nearer 200°C for fine or bleached hair and up to 230°C for coarse hair. Below 200°C the treatment will not seal properly.

How long after nanoplastia can I wash my hair?

72 hours. During that time do not wash, tie, clip, or tuck hair behind your ears — any of these can leave a permanent bend in the treated hair.

How much product do I need for one treatment?

A 120 ml bottle covers roughly one full application for shoulder-length hair. Longer or thicker hair needs more, which is why the 1000 ml bottle works out cheaper per treatment.

Do I need W Two Plex for a home treatment?

Only if your hair is coloured, bleached or previously chemically treated. On healthy virgin hair, W One alone is sufficient.
