Nanoplastia for Chemically Treated Hair
If your hair has had rebonding, keratin, a relaxer or colour in the past, you’ve probably wondered whether nanoplastia is safe to add on top. In many cases it can be used as a smoothing option on previously treated hair. It just depends on what was done, how long ago, and what condition your hair is in now.

Tell us, or your stylist, your hair history
This is the single most useful thing you can do. Two people with the same frizzy hair can need completely different approaches if one of them was rebonded last year and the other has never had a chemical service.
Write down roughly what you’ve had done in the last year: colour, bleach, keratin, rebonding, relaxer, and when. That history decides the waiting time and whether bond protection is needed.
Why previously treated hair needs more care
Chemical services change the internal structure of hair. Afterwards it can look perfectly fine but be weaker than untreated hair, and the weakness only shows when you add more stress, like heat.
That’s why we recommend the W One + W Two Plex Combo for anyone with a chemical history. W Two Plex protects the hair during the flat iron stage, which is where previously treated hair is most at risk.
Rebonded hair is a special case
Rebonded hair stays straight on the lengths that were treated. What usually bothers people is the frizzy new growth at the roots and the rough, dry lengths.
Nanoplastia can smooth both, but rebonded lengths have already been through a lot. Go gently on those areas, use bond protection, and don’t overdo the flat iron passes. If the old rebonded ends are very brittle, a trim first will give a much better finish.
Always do a strand test
Before treating your whole head, try it on a small hidden section underneath. Apply, dry and iron it the same way you would for the full treatment, then check it after a day.
If that section feels soft and smooth, go ahead. If it feels rough or snaps, stop. In that case Bluetox is a gentler way to improve softness and shine without straightening. Coloured hair has its own guide too: treating coloured and bleached hair.

Frequently asked questions
Can I do nanoplastia on chemically treated hair?
Often yes, depending on the hair’s condition and what treatment was done before. Use W Two Plex alongside it for protection, and always do a strand test first.
Can I do nanoplastia after rebonding?
Usually yes, once at least 3 months have passed. It works well on frizzy new growth and dry lengths, but go gently on the previously rebonded hair and use bond protection.
How long after keratin can I get nanoplastia?
Wait until the keratin has mostly faded, which is usually 2 to 3 months, so you are not layering treatments on top of each other.
Is nanoplastia safe after a relaxer?
Wait at least 3 months and check your hair’s strength first. Relaxed hair can be fragile, so bond protection and a strand test are important.
What should I tell my stylist before nanoplastia?
Every chemical service you have had in roughly the last year, including colour, bleach, keratin, rebonding and relaxers, and when each was done.
